Speed is crashing out with the effects of the V-Gas still influencing his attitude and demeanor. The rest of the team is getting desperate to help and save him from himself. In this desperation Trixie must make a call to the one person that may be able to pull Speed out of this. Let’s hope it’s not too late and he can still be saved.

All great things must come to an end, and unfortunately, we have arrived at the end of the first volume of Racer X. Racer X has been struggling with keeping the fact that he is Rex Racer from his family. On top of that his blood feud with Dante Ferno has gotten out of control. How can Racer X solve his problems and still finish in first place?

Speed has taken on some of the best racers in the world, but he now finds himself up against his biggest foe…drug addiction. When Speed accidentally ingests a new designer drug, V-Gas, it changes him for the worse. Can his family and Trixie get through to him or will the drug change Speed forever?

With his back seemingly against the wall, Dante Ferno has a huge trick up his sleeve. He created a whole futuristic city for a race that he should be guaranteed to win. The only things that stand in between him and recouping the Tiger Syndicates money are Speed Racer and Racer X.

Speed takes some time away from the track to go rub shoulders with sponsors at the Ocean Industries Gala. Well, there he also tries to heat things up with Trixie. But what should’ve been an easy uneventful night blows up when Cruncher Block and his goons show up to rob the Gala.

The G.R.X engine is about to takeover and dominate the X Circuit, that’s unless Racer X can do something about it. Armed with an experimental car design Pops and him started testing, Racer X is more than ready for the challenge. However, as always, the Alpha Automotive team has plans and designs of their own.

The rivalry between Carl Cranem and Speed Racer comes to a fiery conclusion. Cranem may be set on taking down the Racer family, but Speed will show that family is more important than anything. Which racer will come out on top and continue their journey to the championship?

Racer X’s revenge tour continues and business is booming! The Tiger Syndicate and Dante Ferno are tired of the thorn in the side Racer X has become. Desperate times call for desperate measures, and the desperation is flowing out of Dante Ferno.

Speed Racer is back and has an even bigger challenge ahead of him. A new foe has emerged and has an axe to grind with Pops Racer. Unfortunately for Speed, the sins of the father will be paid for by the son.

Showing the events from Speed Racer #5 through the eyes of Racer X, we find ourselves in the Great Alpine Race. As Racer X tries to save and help Speed, he has more flashbacks taking us to a time when he was still Rex Racer. The emotions run as hot as the engines in this issue.

As the Great Alpine Race continues the sabotage done to the Mach 5 has put Speed Racer in jeopardy. Will Racer X be able to save Speed and stop the C.A.T from eliminating him or will Dante Ferno’s men led by Kim Jugger finally end the Racer family?
