WRITING:

This issue brings the action fueled racing we have become accustomed to in the Speed Racer Universe. Mark Russell shows all of the complexities of Racer X in this one. The friend, the wheelman, the family man, and the inventor are all on display in this issue. The more the series continues the more of Racer X’s heart Russell shows us. Russell also outdoes himself on the lengths Dante Ferno and company will go. Just when you think they can’t get more ruthless Russell says hold my motor oil. There may be no better villain in any universe than Dante Ferno. The stakes that are on the line and what it means for the greater universe make this issue a must read.
