STORY OVERVIEW:

We flashback to the joy Henry Contra felt spending time with his grandchildren. But then we are thrust right back into now at Contra Industry Tower where Henry in the form of the Antimatter Man is wreaking havoc on everyone and everything. Jace & Jan are putting together a plan, while waiting for Space Ghost to arrive. Space Ghost makes a grand entrance taking out the Antimatter Guards before putting a plan together with the scientists to try and stop the Antimatter Man. However, at this point the Antimatter Man is ready to blow, which means that he could unleash a black hole that would end everyone. Can Space Ghost stop this from happening or will they all be doomed?

WRITING:

This issue is one heck of an emotional ride that makes the reader feel for our beloved characters. David Pepose strikes again with tugging on the heart strings of the reader and taking us through their traumatic times. The whole story of Henry Contra becoming the Antimatter Man, losing his mind, his grandkids not knowing it’s him, and him not realizing they are Space Ghost’s sidekicks, sets up the final pages of this issue perfectly. When the final pages happen, Pepose brings us to a very sad but good ending. My heart whimpered at the ending, and for that emotional feeling to be felt speaks volumes about the quality of the writing.

ARTWORK:

The visuals showcased in this edition consistently reflect the high standards set by the Space Ghost series. Jonathan Lau displays remarkable skill, creating striking pages that cement his reputation as a leading figure in the comic industry. Antimatter Man's unique concept further distinguishes the character.

Andrew Dalhouse enhances Lau’s artwork with thoughtful color selections, amplifying each scene’s mood and dramatic effect. Meanwhile, Taylor Esposito adds another layer to the storytelling through dynamic lettering that communicates emotion across every panel. Together, this talented creative team maintains an impressive level of quality, contributing memorable work that reinforces their standing for artistic excellence within the series.
