*** POSSIBLE SPOILER WARNING ***

Priest delivers on a very intricate plot which incases readers in its web. Opening with Matt Murdock at the Vatican, T’Challa’s struggle to fight comes into full focus. Going back and forth between Ross’ time with the Dora Milaje helps to amplify the moment. The dialogue is sharp, unpeeling the former King’s broken state. As strong as this moment it, what happened to the Marvel heroes steals the spotlight.

Ketema is as cunning and ruthless as readers would expect. His unhinged behavior shines while others fall before him. This is driven home with how Thor is disposed of. It is a massive statement made by someone clamoring to sanity. The fallout is structured with a steady build. Readers watch in shock as Ketema continuously loses his mind with each panel. It gives the final pages an extra does of importance for the heroes involved. The writing delivers on one more surprise moment as the final battle is ready to commence. It sets up the finale with much anxiousness behind it. Can’t ask for better than that.
