Now that the Danger Room has played their hand it’s time for the X-Men to start their comeback. Psylocke along with Xorn and John Greycrow take the fight to the mercenaries hired to take them out. Well Beast battles against foes in his own mind. But can the team come back together before Kid Omega and Temper do something that may change the world’s feelings about the X-Men.

STORY OVERVIEW:
Psylocke and Xorn take out their would-be captors and save John Greycrow from his imprisonment. Meanwhile, Beast wakes up from what he assumes was a nightmare, to only realize the nightmare is real. He now must try and figure out how to beat this foe that has taken over his mind. However, well all of this is going down, Kid Omega & Temper have gone into Merle looking for who shot Glob. They are very angry and looking for revenge. Can the X-Men get back to Merle in time to stop the two angry youngsters from making a huge mistake.
WRITING:
As the story starts to turn and put the focus back onto the X-Men and their comeback, the story really heats up. Jed MacKay takes the X-Men who have been fighting from their heels and starts to let the tide turn. The creative situations they have been put in make for creative solutions they must use to get out of them. MacKay’s story lives up to the creativity that was set forth in this series. As the tensions have built up where they are in the story, the anticipation for what’s to come next is at an all-time high.
ARTWORK:
The artwork in this issue shows impressive precision, effectively supporting the story. Conflicts are illustrated clearly and vibrantly in a variety of settings. The characters are designed true to their original forms, making them instantly recognizable to readers. Bold and dynamic colors bring energy to every panel, increasing their visual appeal. Together, these components, carefully crafted by the creative team, result in an exceptional visual experience.

Final Thoughts:
X-Men #29 takes this series and arc to the next level and does so with an insanely creative story. The consequences are high as the X-Men start to make their comeback and this builds an immense amount of anticipation. The excitement for what will come next really grabs you and makes you want the next issue now. If you haven’t been reading this arc you are definitely missing out on something great.
