This issue really moves all of the storylines forward, while introducing some new and more vicious threats. Robert Kirkman does a great job of weaving in the different story threads and making connections when it counts. The Autobots seemingly going on the offensive, only to be revealed that the Decepticons have already struck is a very effective twist. Revealing that this isn’t the old school Transformers and this story can and will be very violent for effect.

The artwork in this issue stands out for its ability to immerse the reader fully in the unfolding drama. Dan Mora demonstrates his exceptional talent, capturing the essence of the Transformers universe through skillfully drawn panels. His attention to detail is evident in every aspect of the visuals, from the expressive characters and dynamic backgrounds to the intense action sequences. Mora successfully balances the familiar elements of the Transformers with his own distinct artistic style, making each page visually compelling and fresh. Nowhere is this more evident than the art on the final pages and how that plays out visually.

Enhancing Mora’s pencils is Mike Spicer’s masterful use of color, which brings depth and energy to every scene. Together, Mora and Spicer deliver an outstanding artistic collaboration, elevating the overall impact of the issue.
