They also have a new friend that brought them their named Flashback, he used to be a Silverhawk until their moral standings changed. The Cats’ have found out that the Silverhawk’s have hunted and killed off most of their kind. The only way to stop this future from happening is to stop the start of the great war that Bengali started years ago. To do this they need to gain access to the Silverhawk’s most advanced technology, no matter how many times they need to rewind.
WRITING:
This first issue introduces the reader to this new world and why the Cats’ have been brought here. Ed Brisson paints a picture of this future world and lets the reader know the high stakes that are on the line. Brisson then introduces an interesting plot device that Flashback can seemingly rewind time to give the group redo’s when they mess up. This makes the mission a little more interesting, well also showing the threat of the Silverhawk’s. However, that device and some of the other choices of the story seem to also convolute the story a bit, making it easier for the reader to get lost.
ARTWORK:
The artwork in this issue truly stands out, vividly reflecting and enhancing the story’s lively atmosphere throughout. The art team’s dynamic illustrations make the action scenes pulse with energy, letting readers experience the intensity of the Cats’ challenges firsthand. Their careful detail in each panel strengthens the narrative and immerses the audience in the story’s vision. Moreover, skillful use of color and lettering adds another layer, effectively conveying the emotional depth of every scene and pulling readers even further into the world of the Thundercats.

Final Thoughts:
ThunderCats: Lost in Time #1 is a decent start to a story and a new series. The story gets a little confusing and convoluted at times in the issue, but the overall premise is still pretty strong. The artwork is the true highlight of this issue, as it brings this new future world to life. The issue is still a good read and furthermore sets the table to explain what is happening in future issues.
