*** POSSIBLE SPOILER WARNING ***

Williamson is definitely having fun with this enjoyable chapter. Opening with a more intense moment with the JL, CK knows something isn’t right. This is only amplified with Earth 2 Superman crashing the scene. From this point, the story heads into wild directions. Playing in the different forms of comic media with excite fans to new levels. From the animated series to the Snyderverse, all ground is covered. The writing keeps challenging CK while breaking the 4th wall. Love the Tom King 9 panel line. READ LAST ISSUE’S REVIEW HERE!

As much as Williamson is having fun here, Mora and Sánchez might be having more. The opening sequence is standard superhero combat. It gives way to a full iconic shot of Earth 2 Supes. Their interactions starts the insane spiral into other realities. Seeing Mora switch art styles to match the animated series then classic romance comic looks is a challange he handles with ease. It gives this issue a very unique feel. The 9 panel page is an instant classic. This leads into a strong final act. A fantastic two page spread sets the scene for the close. The full page image doesn’t hide the danger coming at CK, whether he’s ready or not. Amazing work!

FINAL GRADE: 9.5

CK is thrown though multiple eras and times with an incredible presentation with this chapter. Williamson keeps readers locked in with multiple looks at each timeline. Mora and Sanchez’s art dances through so many different styles with no missteps. What an impressive experience! This is definitely not your average Superman issue!
