Even in defeat, Batman finds a way to win.
During the “DC K.O.” tourney, The Dark Knight was eliminated by The Joker. His saga should have ended there. Implementing a failsafe, Batman wound up in a future imperfect. Dick Grayson became Batman. Robins were a unit more than any sidekick. Bruce Wayne was insane. After defeating Grayson, Bruce Wayne was moved to a Gotham ran by Jason Todd, otherwise known as Batman.

Arkham Asylum
A fixture of Gotham City for decades. The home of the criminally insane. Its’ reputation has been one of housing the most dangerous and corrupt. That isn’t always the patients. It is a place many of Batman’s rogue wind up residing in after an encounter with the Dark Knight.
In the Absolute Universe, it has taken on a whole other life of its own. The work being conducted there is not any plans of rehabilitation. It is more of fear and control. Waylon Jones and Bane are notable names attached to the devious place. How did this all come to be?

It’s a new day in Smallville, Kansas.
Against incredible odds, the people fought back against the Machine. The Lazarus Corporation & Ra’s Al Ghul were defeated by the Man Of Tomorrow.
It dod not come without great loss. Martha Kent passed away before her adopted son was able to celebrate his victory. Krytpon’s last son also was dealt a blow with Sol, his living sentient cape sacrificed itself to assure a win.

Dr. Annika Zeller has been drawing unwanted attention.
Her work on the Crown of Storms is extraordinary. With great success comes greater problems. Certain people don’t want to see her progress further with her work. Even on a night out, Zeller is a walking target.
Lucky for her that an apparent date might be able to step in to intervene. That person’s name is Bruce Wayne.
BATGIRL #15 (DC COMICS)
Cassandra Cain is on a path of vengeance.
Being the daughter of Lady Shiva, Cain is accustomed to handling herself in a fight. The Unburied are advancing in their plans. Samsara is their prime target. This has led to a recruitment by Nyssa al Ghul to join her war. This doesn’t sit well with Cain, who has revenge on her mind.
JSA #15 (DC COMICS)
Greatness is never born overnight.
In the case of the JSA, this couldn’t be more true. A murder in Gotham in 1940 would become the catalyst for drawing unlikely heroes together for a common cause. The Fifth Columnists are keeping Atom and Wonder Woman’s hands full. Sandman and Hourman are in deep trouble. Jay Garrick and Alan Scott might be able to work together but what about Jim Corrigan?

DC K.O.: RED HOOD VS. THE JOKER #1 (DC COMICS)
The fate of the DCU will be in one person’s hands. It will not be given. The title will be earned through combat.
Darkseid is coming. After creating the Absolute Universe, the former lord of Apokolips wants more. It was revealed an Absolute Champion must be crowned to face off against the upcoming evil. This is no easy task. Heroes and villains have now been put into a deadly tournament. As it progresses, the challenges do not get easier. The latest round presents quite the showdown.
GREEN LANTERN #30 (DC COMICS)
Hal Jordan. Bruce Wayne. “Frenemies from work”
Two heroes that couldn’t be any more different. Their methods and personalities constantly clash while trying to accomplish the same goal. With Jordan needing answers to the effects from the Book of Oa, one person would have the answers. Jordan books a one-way ticket to Gotham City to see if Batman can help. It might be a better question to ask if they can co-exist while trying.
JUSTICE LEAGUE UNLIMITED #14 (Dc Comics)
“The road to Hell is paved with good intentions”, eh?
Tell that to Mr. Terrific. With the heavy hitters of the JLU tied up with DC K.O., there is a void to handle threats. Terrific puts together a team of time displaced heroes to handle the problem. Little did they know this mission would take them to Hell. Literally.
ABSOLUTE WONDER WOMAN #15 (DC COMICS)
At last, two good souls in a dark world finally cross paths.
Since its’ inception, fans have wondered when the heroes of the Absolute Universe would finally meet. Their patience was tested but n answer came at San Diego Comic Con 2025. During a panel, Scott Snyder announced that ABSOLUE BATMAN would meet ABSOLUTE WONDER WOMAN in a future crossover event.
DETECTIVE COMICS #1104 (DC COMICS)
No Fear. No Hope.
When a deadly virus comes to Gotham City, Batman becomes a victim. This is all orchestrated by The Lion. Taking fear away makes for a very dangerous landscape. It also means certain death. Batman’s case has has a fair share of globe-trotting looking for answers.
His latest clue points him in the direction of one of his most deadliest rogues: The Scarecrow!
ABSOLUTE SUPERMAN #14 (DC COMICS)
Ever since he was exposed to the public, Kal El has been the subject of observation.
His heroic deeds have drawn a reaction from the Lazarus Corporation. Their leader wants the services of this “Superman” by any means necessary. Whatever Ra’s Al Ghul wants, he usually gets.
Not in this case.
BATMAN/STATIC BEYOND #2 (DC COMICS)
Even in the future, the best laid plans don’t always work out so well.
Virgil Hawkins aka Static is pushing the Q-Wave Energy Grid. The game changing technology spells endless possibilities. It also draws unwanted attention. With a threat like Shutdown ready to upend everything, Static appears to have a partner in fighting the good fight with him. Terry McGuiness aka Batman Beyond is in tow for this latest adventure.
IMMORTAL LEGEND BATMAN #5 (DC COMICS)
Sometimes, home isn’t where the heart lies. This is especially true in the case of Bruce Wayne.
When humanity tampers with dark matter, the result are shadows. Dark creatures reeking havoc all over the universe. This has prompted Wayne to assume the mantle of Immortal Legend Batman.
His intense hunting of shadows does not come without cost. Wayne’s risked all he cares about in his vigilant quest. This includes his life which time may be running out on. His latest case leads him back to a place he left: Gotham!
ABSOLUTE MARTIAN MANHUNTER #7 (DC COMICS)

When DC Comics announced it’s lineup of characters to lead the Absolute Universe, the trinity (Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman) were no-brainers. One name was the biggest X factor of the second wave: Martian Manhunter. The longtime staple of the Justice League was given a complete overhaul by one of comics best creative teams. It resulted in a huge win for fans and critcs alike.

As DC K.O. progresses forward, one figure is imposing his will on the rest of the competition.
LEX LUTHOR has returned from exile with a vengeance! “Humanity’s Last Hope” has already dine a number on Superman. Now he has his eyes set on Jason Blood and Etrigan. They shouldn’t expect mercy. This next round calls for pain!
THE FLASH #28 (DC COMICS)
The threat of Darkseid has shaken up the DCU to its’ core.
With a possible way to stop him hinged on trial by tourney combat, heroes and villains alike fight with everything they have. The prize is enough power to take down the former Lord Of Apokolips. Lines are crossed. There is no turning back. It’s either a complete K.O. or nothing at all.
This round has two heroes ready to risk it all. One is a Speedster Legend with class and dignity. The other is Guy Gardner. Need I say more?
