Ayodele has always pushed Munroe to new heights as the goddess she is. Going into this finale, it is no surprise that the story carries a heavy weight. The opening sequence allows Eternity to come see Munroe for a powerful conversation. Readers watch as the ramifications of her actions have spilled into nothing but death and devastation. The writing showcases the domino effect she has caused. It leads to a Faustian deal which she has danced with before. The results shake up everything pushing forward.

Readers watch as Munroe handles the moment with grace and poise, fitting of her status. Ayodele throws in a major time jump to bring out a heartfelt conversation. Her talk with her mother about honor is an intense look. It catapults Munroe’s choices in escaping her current situation. The day before Akujin’s invasion brings deep emotions to the forefront. The dialogue is a perfect guide into the final stages. Once here, Ayodele reminds everyone where he has taken this character and a extraordinary saga to match.

Mancin & Tartaglia amaze with the visual presentation. Eternity’s debut feels larger than life as it adds to the gravity of Storm’s thoughts. The reflections of her actions strike chords as to the responsibility her actions take. The visual details hit their marks as all roads lead to Eternity’s deal. Tartaglia’s coloring jumps out as Storm wrestles with her choices. It results in a stunning half panel with answer in tow.

Readers watch as a full page image snaps back to a dark reality. This gets upended by the look at her time six years after birth. Panels become personal as she talks with her mother about the responsibility of honor. This transfers over to a fantastic two page spread one day before the invasion. Readers can sense the change in the air as she passes along a special gift. It sets up the final page with a sense of incredible presence as the closing message is sent.

FINAL GRADE: 9.5

Storm: EMM has been nothing short of a creative journey unlike anything they have seen previously. Ayodele serves up a spectacular finish to the ambitious saga. Mancin & Tartaglia deliver on amazing art to guide readers through this every-changing direction. A imaginiative take that surely won’t be forgotten anytme soon.
