STORY OVERVIEW:

Spidey & Wolvie are taking the fight to the Revengers, and they start to get the upper hand. Unfortunately for them Arachnix has finally entered the fight. However, Peter has a great idea and throws a hail mary to stop Arachnix in his tracks and it works. But just as they have put down the Revengers, they get an assist taking them in by an unexpected ally. Doctor Doom, who is the leader of S.C.Y.T.H.E, which is this world’s S.H.I.E.L.D, gives a helping hand rounding up the Revengers. Peter & Logan inquire if Doom can help them get back to their world and he says he will try. But when he fails, it’s Peter who finally gets them home, however they have someone in hot pursuit of them.

WRITING:

This issue continues the joyride we were on last issue. Marc Guggenheim does an incredible job with creating such an entertaining story. The action hits and fires on all cylinders, well the humor is second to none. But the real ace of the story is the wild reveals we get from Earth-4587. Guggenheim using a S.H.I.E.L.D stand in led by Doctor Doom wasn’t on anyone’s BINGO card, that’s for sure. The story is really good and strong, but it’s also equally awesome to have a series that puts fun and entertainment up front like this series does.

ARTWORK:

The artwork featured in this issue is especially noteworthy, successfully conveying the distinct mood of this alternate universe. Gerardo Sandoval & Victor Nava do an exceptional job animating this new world, with their detailed depictions of its unique environments and inhabitants. A standout aspect of Their art is their innovative approach to character design, particularly when illustrating this Earth's versions of the Revengers and S.C.Y.T.H.E. Enhancing the drawings, Brian Reber’s coloring aligns seamlessly with both the mood and energy of the visual storytelling. The vibrant and lively palette makes each page captivating, further energizing the action as it jumps from the panels.
