STORY OVERVIEW:
Tempus has captured Space Ghost and has taken him to the planet Chronos to use his power to power up the Time Shredder. This machine is designed to rip apart space and time as we know it, so a new timeline can be created. At the same time on planet Zator, Jace, Jan, & Space Spectre are trying to recruit Eclipse Woman to help save Space Ghost. She questions if they can save Space Ghost with just the four of them, good thing it isn’t just the four of them. Now that the rescue team is set, it’s time for the epic showdown. Can the Space Force of the Multiverse save Space Ghost and the Universe? Or will the Time-Tyrants rip time and space apart killing this universe forever?
WRITING:
This final issue of Volume 2 ends the Volume in epic fashion, well setting things in motion for the next Volume of Space Ghost. David Pepose brings the action and drama to this finale which will make even the most jaded of readers stand in awe of this issue. The fighting and action scenes are on par for this series and deliver a great deal of excitement. But the real MVP of this finale is the drama and emotion that punches the reader right in the mouth. I’ve always said no one writes human emotions like David Pepose and he proves that once again in this issue. The reveal of who Tempus was and what motivates him brings a sadness and understanding to the character. Meanwhile, Space Ghost has to pull from his inner strength and his belief in his family to survive. The ultimate test of this is on the final pages where Space Ghost will have to face something he may not bounce back from. Pepose is an emotional assassin and I’m not crying, you’re crying.
ARTWORK:
The visuals remain a major strength of the series. Jonathan Lau delivers crisp, energetic panel work and character designs that feel bold, memorable, and easy to identify. The rich background detail gives each scene a strong sense of place while reinforcing the issue’s atmosphere. Andrew Dalhouse’s colors bring an added level of intensity, matching the characters and environments while making the emotional tone immediately clear. As a team, Lau and Dalhouse create a polished, eye-catching issue that stands out among many books on the shelves.

Final Thoughts:
Space Ghost Vol. 2 #12 is the definition of a finale and hits on every emotional tone. This issue takes the reader on an emotional ride, and just when you think the hard emotional stuff is over, the ending punches you in the face. In between the emotional drama of the story, we get some exciting action scenes that help break up the emotional beats. I always say that Space Ghost for your money is the best series on the shelves today, and this issue and run proves that statement true. This is my Pick of the Week and should be at the top of everyone’s list when they go to the LCS this week. Space Ghost Annual is up next and you don’t want to miss that one either.
FINAL GRADE: 10/10
