*** POSSIBLE SPOILER WARNING ***

Parrott and Cotton pen up with a sinister dinner of Mourningstars minions. The dialogue is devious as they discuss plans. Hearing the return of the evil entity is one thing. Aurie rationalizing her chances is a whole other ballgame. Readers watch as there’s pause in the next moves, much like Dylan’s.

The college life seems to be rubbing off on the young man with hope. This leads to some fun banter until he’s seperated from the group. His talk with his new “friend” takes some turns before the true nature shows up. From here, the writing kicks up the action on the personal bout. Readers will have much to enjoy here. Both plots build till they take a drastic turn. Events leave off with new issues to deal with, none with an easy solution.

The art team begin with a subtle build to the grand reveal of dinner plans. The feast gets a full image as each player settles in. Panels work to focus on the eyes of each in attendance. There’s clearly no honor amongst theives here.

The same can be said for Dylan’s time. His time with Hellbent builds up to a full page reveal for both. This kickstarts the action tenfold. Every move as a personal flare behind it. A full page shot crashes them through a building. It ends abruptly to let Auries time take over. Images show her struggle to survive multiple moves. While brief, it hits the points. The issue closes with Dylan making a late save. This leads into a surprise guest hitting the scene with a near full final page. Many moving parts going on here.

FINAL GRADE: 8.8

Double the Rogue Sun, double the danger! The writing sets up both conflicts with differing intensities for huge wins. The art delivers on big moments while balancing out the complexity of the fights. Events are heating up and you can’t afford to miss what’s going on
