*** POSSIBLE SPOILER WARNING ***
writing:
Esposito and Porter bring a touch of Mad Max into the Rangers landscape for a thrilling ride. Adding in a new Zord amplifies the stakes with a solid chase scene to start. Once Joel Rawlings comes into scene, the story gets more gravity added to it. The last Lightspeed Ranger’s tone cements the larger problem at hand. Trini’s response is a compliment to establishing this new enemy. From here, the attention goes to forming a plan of attack against an unknown foe.
Readers don’t have to wait long for the action to pick back up. The fight comes right to Trini’s front door. This creates quite the chaotic scene with action unfolding everywhere. It also allows a new player to enter the game via the Aqua Boss. Her interactions tease deeper motives but provide Trini some much needed help. The alliance moves the story into a monstrous final confrontation. This welcomes on a dangerous threat which eludes to more history than shown. Even with these solo stories, adding in a possible recurring foe is a nice change. It brings forth a solid conclusion with room left to expand here if chosen to. A great one and done which this series is getting known for.

art & lettering:
Sorressa & Angulo open with a race involving the newest monster Zord. A striking full page shot gives it a proper welcome as events spin out of control. Panels get more tense as Trini starts processing what need to be done in this matter. Other Ranger reactions vary until Joel’s comes into focus. Seeing a possible way to avoid his world’s downfall pours out from his responses. It also provides a chilling half panel of their latest foe. A primer for the chaos that’s about to be unleashed.
Panels pay homage to “Mad Max'" as an unstable scenario breaks out. There’s plenty of high speed action to go around as the fight is officially on. Angulo’s coloring breaks up the brawl as the Aqua Queen makes a grand entrance via half panel. Her presences shakes up events enough to transition into more peaceful times. This provides enough of a break before launching into the final destination. The looming threat is given a full page introduction. Pacing speeds the encounter up where there’s more questions raised than expected. The combat concludes in a steady finish as panels transition with Dukeshire’s lettering. Closing panels gift readers more themes to break down as this story is done for now but surely not forever.
FINAL GRADE: 8.6
Trini’s one shot to save the Lightspeed Rangers home world takes aim with another exciting chapter of Power Ranger Action. Esposito and Porter present a new foe shrouded in mystery with a spectacular script. The art brings a high-octane fell to the panels. Cant’ say it enough: This series is everything you could want from a Power Rangers series!
