Let’s take a deeper dive as to how this all plays out.

Flores goes all in for a satisfying finale. The offer of allegiance to Lauren sparks a very chaotic scene. There is plenty of kinetic action taking place all around. In the middle is Lauren addressing the deal in question. Her dialogue is fiery in delivery with all the secrets done around her being exposed. It leads to a showdown with her father packing quite a punch. From here, the story swings back to Rita’s plans as the danger comes closer to taking a win.
Readers watch as her Ranger plans ultimately result in creating the team to save the world. There’s also a great “dino” moment that can’t be ignored. The writing nails the importance of the Rangers during this sinking sequence. Flores sneaks in a very predictable, but important moment involving Rita and Orion. Throughout this series, the sense of passing of the torch has been looming. The payoff finally goes down with great success. This spins into a steady landing tying up loose ends. Readers will get a fitting send-off for a series with many miles to go should we fortunate enough to see it return.
Sorressa and Lafuente begin with a look back to Rita from months ago. The water-esque painting illustrates a bit of her plans and thoughts concerning the Rangers. It gives way to a two page splash were Lauren is dealing with her ultimatum. This becomes the catalyst for an all out brawl. Readers looking for big action don’t have to wait long. The Trifornians pull off a solid mid panel. Its’ opposition steals the spotlight away as they fight.
The near full page shot of the dino-zord in action builds up the moment perfectly. It compliments Lauren fighting her father. The art hones in on the major pieces to this greater puzzle. As the Ravager starts coming through a portal, the Rangers reactions take over. Readers see a sense of worry as their fate becomes more clear. Panels show the lengths they go to survive. this involves a cameo from some old friends. Once the necessary blow is dealt, the art raises the bar to magnify its’ reach. It results in panels closing up tangling plot points and relationships. A great half panel shot sets up the final page in style. One more full image of the team is a exceptional way to say good bye for now but hopefully not forever.
FINAL GRADE: 8.4
The Prime Rangers face their gravest challenge yet in this finale showdown. Flores’s writing maximizes every page with huge results. Sorressa and Lafuente display kinetic energy with every fight scene. This has been a fresh take on the Rangers that should make fans’ radar. Hopefully the team doesn’t say away for too long before returning!
