M.A.S.K. #4 (SKYBOUND ENTERTAINMENT/IMAGE COMICS)

MA.S.K. is still riding on Venom's trail, but should you be riding down to the comic shop and grabbing this issue?

There is only one way to find out!

I’m your boy Joey form the So Wizard Podcast on behalf of Fanlight Zone and this is another comic review.

We’re talking M.A.S.K. #4 by Dan Watters, Marco Ferrari , Pierluigi Casolino & Rus Wooton (Image Comics/Skybound)

*** POSSIBLE SPOILER WARNING ***

Hijinks are ensuing as Matt Tracker has to save a civilian who unknowingly has put on a dangerous mask. Meanwhile, Miles Mayhem machinations going on behind the scenes.

WHAT DID WE THINK?

Well, guys, obviously, we've absolutely loved this book. I'm a huge fan of Mask as a property from back in the day.

I love the toys and the cartoon, and what a theme song. Oh, my. And now it's back, and part of the Energon universe, which has been amazing since it started.

I don't think there's been a single, bad Energon universe issue, series, idea, property.

Now, in Mask, issue three, we got a look at the next thing coming down the line, which is going to be Micronauts.

That was exciting to see. This issue is just great. I like a self-contained story about Matt Tracker trying to save the civilian who's got himself stuck inside one of the masks.

READ LAST ISSUE’S REVIEW!

The art, incredible. I love it. I love the way the vehicles look. You can feel them transforming as you look at the panel.

It's really, really great art. Dan Watters is just knocking it out of the park in this book. Just great stuff.

Taking a property that, you know, for the most part is just a kid's cartoon and turning it into something really awesome to read every single month.

That is not an easy task. They are stepping up to the plate and knocking it out of the park.

This whole universe is.

FINAL GRADE: 9

Mask is just awesome. So I, again, am still in love with this book. Great stuff. Issue four. Great art & story. It’s a phenomenal comic every time it drops. What more needs to be said?

Let us know your thoughts on M.A.S.K. #4 in the comments below. Thanks for reading!
