Thompson displays Diana’s return with much troubles behind it. The opening monologue teases the uncertainty of her future. This only grows with each moving step. Her trek mirrors the struggles of Barbara. The writing shows her sorting through her new stat quo. It divulges into the Cheetah mythos while establishing her own path. A solid compliment to Diana’s journey indeed. The other side plots display some normalcy before heading back into Diana’s troubles.
Once here, the writing focuses on her searching. Diana’s words convey the complicated matter at hand. It allows room to expand on her own self reflections. This helps set the stage for the closing pages. The mastermind behind all of this stands revealed. Readers get an exclamation point dropped on them before departing as Diana makes her intentions known. Solid script overall.

Snook steps in for art duties here. The Underworld scenes showcase the rough environment Diana must endure now. Readers see how she maintains hope in these trying times. Barbara’s imprisonment leads into a few different artistic paths. The lone shot of her sitting around the decomposed body sets an uneasy tone. This keeps climbing as more secrets are unveiled.
Flashback panel structures nail their intended marks. It helps to grow out the dangerous choices forthcoming. All roads lead back to Diana and the Underworld to close. Readers watch as Diana tackles a challenge in grand fashion. The brief combat welcomes in a more somber close. Her reflection of events is distinct on her face. Diana’s decent into the Underworld becomes problematic in a hurry. Thompson pushes both Wonder Woman and Barbara into dangerous corners. Snook and Bellaire lock in on the heavy drama at hand. Where this is going to be heading next is anyone’s guess.
