WRITING:

This issue adds a new threat to the X-Men as well as brings in some more drama for them to deal with. Jed MacKay shows us a few different issues that need to be resolved, well adding new wrinkles and threats to our heroes. The Crimson Commando is proving to be more than a thorn in their side, and his choice of mercenary is only going to make him more dangerous. The side story with Glob and his produce shows the continuing social struggle between humans and mutants. Well, there are some wins, there still is a lot of work to be done.

ARTWORK:

This issue’s artwork masterfully conveys the story’s events with impressive accuracy. The turmoil that breaks out on the different fronts is depicted masterfully. Character designs are faithfully rendered, instantly connecting fans with iconic heroes. Vibrant color choices enhance every panel, making the visuals truly stand out. Altogether, the art team expertly combines these elements to deliver something truly special.
