STORY OVERVIEW:
Wolverine is training Ape and Deepfake well also trying to make Deepfake understand the importance of this training. He then gets distracted by Silver Sable which leads him to stop the training. Sable and Wolverine have been getting awfully cozy, and this presents some issues, well also being a good thing for Wolvie as well. Well, they are making love, the young Morlock Tushar goes missing. Well, the Morlocks search for him in teams, Wolverine does what he does best and tracks the boy down. But come to find out Tushar is not alone and has been taken. Now Wolverine will have to use his skills to save the boy.
WRITING:
This issue delves into the personal relationship between Silver Sable and Wolverine, well showing what happens when they are distracted. Saladin Ahmed brings the reader into the love affair between the two and lets you know this is very real. But as always there are consequences for distractions, and those consequences form the rest of this issue. Ahmed builds up anticipation as Wolverine tracks Tushar and pays it off with action and heart once he finds him. The overall story is fulfilling and shows a kind and caring side to everyone’s favorite ass kicking short guy.
ARTWORK:
The artwork in this issue delivers and then some. Martín Cóccolo captures the emotional heartfelt moments between the characters. The action scenes, even though few, are very impactful. Cóccolo excels with the emotion of the story and the attention to details in the settings. Jesus Aburtov’s color selections match the art perfectly and compliments the artwork completely. Well Cory Petit shows the tone of the story through the lettering.

Final Thoughts:
Wolverine #17 brings some emotion to the story that is unfolding, well still delivering suspense and action. The art team does a fantastic job of bringing the story to life. Well, the teases for what’s to come build anticipation for the upcoming issues in this series. If you are a Wolverine fan, make sure to grab a copy of this book at the shop this week.
