What did we think?
I’m trying to stay spoiler free as possible for you guys. Sorry, but Witchblade is an incredible, incredible book! This reboot of Witchblade has been awesome and I've said it in previous reviews, this is getting close to, if not my best book of the year right now.
The art is incredible. The story is awesome & captivating. Even if you didn't read Witchblade back in the day, it’s easyto pick up and know exactly what's going on. Even 22 issues in, you can jump right in and just you enjoy the story and the kick-ass art.
If you read Witchblade back in the day, then you're going to pick up on all sorts of little nuances andthings in the storyline. As a reboot, it’s a fantastic comic with awesome art & kicking ass with the story.
If you loved comics back in the day and you miss comics from back in the day and you say “man I wish books were like they used to be and I wish such and such book that I read wasn't bad and i want to read something new and i want to try something different”, my friends… Witchblade from Image Comics & Top Cow is the one for you!
This is part of a whole wave of awesome books that are coming out. Darkness, Witchblade, Youngblood…all these books are coming back & kicking ass and taking names! It shows you what comics can be.
FINAL GRADE: 9
This series is very close to being my comic of the year right now because it has been consistently just awesome. I can't recommend it enough! I'm going to not spoil that story one bit so we're staying as vague as humanly possible other than let you know it's great! Jump on board… you're gonna love it!
