The Badpools have been running wild in the streets of NYC. This has raised the eyebrow of one Frank Castle. Meanwhile Deadpool’s longtime friend Blind Al has struck the big time. New Truck means new job. New Job means new problems.

Percy eases into the latest event with some good ol’ Deadpool charm. An ordinary diner stop leads to some hijinks with the dialogue. Once it’s interrupted by a Badpool, the mood switches to some violence. This break also provides an opening of Blind Al to show off her new world of riches. the writing shows Al unphased as far as business goes. Once the new job is secured, its back to walking the fine line of good vs, evil.
Readers watch as Punisher’s introduction is more cold as a Badpool has been taken in for questioning. The dialogue is stone cold as the situation ends as only it would with Frank Castle involved. After a brief interlude involving a new bad, the story shifts to the explosive confrontation all are waiting on. The meeting goes exactly has expected. Punisher’s business demeaner doesn’t shift as the hunt is on for punishment. Readers see a final panel elude to the direction this story is going. This isn’t gonna be one for weak stomachs.

Shaw and Sinclair stage events as only a Deadpool story can go. The diner scene gets messy early. A full shot of Deadpool waiting for the attack sets the tone for the bloody encounter. Panels leave nothing to chance during this exchange. It concludes with Blind Al showcasing her new Truck. With a few full page shots, the mood is jovial in securing a new job. The reactions are all over the place concerning where they go from here.
Punisher’s introduction is shrouded in shadows as Micro does the talking. They reflect the emotionless response to who’s responsible. Frank’s rare reaction is to who’s presumed responsible and what that means. A pair of full pages spotlight the Badpools with Black Hole. It provides a pivot point to Frank’s hunt for Wade. Once events move to the closing pages, it starts staging the initial violent encounter. The extremely violent “hello” is followed by a haunting half panel. It sets the tone for what is yet to come in spades.
FINAL GRADE: 8.2
Frank Castle’s on the hunt for Wade Wilson and the MCU is caught in the crossfire in this explosive crossover event. Percy orchestrates the chaos with a solid opener. Shaw and Sinclair bring the pain with intense action sequences. Better bring a mouthguard cause “Big Guns” isn’t pulling any punches!
