Parrott and Cotton know how to present a shocking closeout for the latest arc. The opening pages deal with Dylan’s frustration with his estranged father/mentor Marcus. Their dialogue is sharp as the panic starts sinking into Dylan. Even as Marcus pleads his case in watching Aurie’s actions, Dylan brushes it off to act. When events move to Hellbent and Bryon, the dialogue hits a steady flow of back and forth chat. It dabbles in traditional themes while allowing Bryon to take the villain down a notch.
Cataclysm’s role in the equation becomes an engaging one. Her partnership with Hellbent steers into a few avenues before landing on the huge showdown in waiting. Pacing speeds up to let the action take hold of the pages. Dylan’s emotions are on full display as the personal wounds start showing. It causes a few stumbles while Aurie’s fight to take a more serious twist. That said, no one sees the huge event unfolding to end the fight. It is a monumental play that hits huge. The fallout carries a grave weight as both Dylan and Aurie don’t walk away unscarred. The writing throws in one more major change to leave readers wanting answers on the finale page. Excellent finish to the arc.

Abel and the art team show the dysfunction between father and son early in the opening rounds. Their talk ends abruptly with a full page image. Dylan’s anger is clear while Marcus’ looks of pause catapults events to Hellbent. The interactions with Bryon show off the villainy as the threats grow. This grows further problematic with Cataclysm’s arrival. Their exchange becomes heated in some aspects. It sets up the showdown on a sound note.
Once here, the action sequences flows. Readers watch as the fight goes frantic quickly. A half panel spotlights Dylan’s offense until a drastic turn takes place. This moves Hellbent into a closing shot of his own. Aurie’s fight with Cataclysm carries the same energy. The fighters start crossing paths, leaving into the shocking moment of the book. A stunning full page shows the deadly response to the conflict. It drives home more emotions as Dylan reacts. This pushes events into a more calm closing aftermath. Tensions are still high as the fallout begins. It conceals what goes down on the final page. One more full page throws everything off its’ axis, leaving much to ponder. Get ready for this moment!
