*** POSSIBLE SPOILER WARNING ***
Condon opens with a quick look at the world of Limbo and Illyana’s beginning in the hellish landscape. Once the story shifts back to present time, the mood is much lighter. Readers watch a healthy Jean Grey start using her powers. It provides a sense of relief to Logan who’s trying to fin some direction. Even a stop for supplies puts him in a natural spot. Shaking down for information sends him on a direct path to trouble. Would he want it any other way?
Readers watch as his search leads him to a group of soldiers. It doesn’t take long for the action to kick in. Events become very linear as he goes to work. Once a new player enters the game does the dynamic change. The re-envisioned villain serves as a worthy opponent. Pacing keeps up the high speed as the blows are being thrown. It results in a more calm ending. The clsoing pages provide a new outlet to Logan to use. How this goes is anyone’s call.
