STORY OVERVIEW:

The Turtles discover that Krang and Shredder are behind what is going on more than they thought before. They find themselves inside of the Technodrome where they discover the Kaijutagen. Before they can find out more about it, they get attacked by the Kaiju sized Bebop and Rocksteady. This forces the Turtles to think outside the box and make a brash decision. At the same time, Krang who has also taken the Kaijutagen battles Godzilla. Will our heroes be able to overcome these massive threats? If they do, what other horrors await them?

WRITING:

This issue effectively advances the storyline while heightening the level of threat. Tim Seeley unveils Shredder and Krang's motives, significantly increasing the tension surrounding the Kaiju invasion. Seeley skillfully builds suspense and keeps the narrative moving at a steady pace through his well-timed revelations. His handling of the Kaiju demonstrates respect for their menace, without shifting focus away from the Turtles. By introducing new characters and developing existing ones, the story continues to expand, leaving readers eager for more.

ARTWORK:

The artwork featured in this issue effectively captures the unique qualities of both franchises while establishing their own distinct identity. Fero Pe demonstrates expertise in character and Kaiju design; the classic and newly introduced Kaiju appear both original and appropriately connected to their source material. Pe also displays considerable skill in rendering backgrounds and settings. Complementing Pe's artistry, the colors by Luis Antonio Delgado enhance the visual impact of the illustrations. The art team exhibits notable cohesion, resulting in high-quality and impressive work overall.
