STORY OVERVIEW:
We start off by seeing a young Lion-O who is already showing leadership qualities as he is standing up for other Kits. His father has his training start with Panthero because of this incident. We then jump out into the Edge of the Limbo Galaxy and see some of the Silverhawks patrolling a newly conquered area. Quicksilver is training a young recruit Chromium, who is very headstrong and a little too quick on the draw. This causes an issue as he would become injured because he rushed into a fight. Finally, we jump to Sixth Earth in the year 3158 where the Lost Team has been trapped for 6 years. Neko wearing Silverhawks gear takes out and defends common folks from the DarkBirds. This dystopian future was caused by their failure when they were brought forward in time to stop what the Silverhawks became.
WRITING:

Ed Brisson gives a peek into the things that will ultimately shape the war that we will be going into in this crossover event. Brisson gives the pieces to the puzzle, well still being vague enough to keep readers guessing. This air of anticipation will surely make any reader thirsty for what’s to come. The character development work in this book goes a long way to show you the important characters to this story arc going forward.
ARTWORK:
The artwork in this book captures both the Thundercats and Silverhawks impeccably. The art team does a fantastic job of showing the differences between the characters and making each character unique. The worlds are robust and big, which gives the reader the sense of just how monumental this event will be. The colors reflect whichever world they are in. Brighter when in hopeful situations, by dark in the dystopian future setting.
