READ LAST ISSUE’S REVIEW!
Gay and Ramos open with a full page shot of Kilgore being stabbed by Morozov. It is an intense start, btu fitting for the task at hand. This moves into a bloody finish while ushering in questioning. Both Daniel and Morozov refuse to break their poker faces as they try gaining intel. It leads to a solid panel of Daniel’s spirit brother escaping form his trap. The face-off panels light the fuse for a greater explosion to take place.
Haunt’s slow, methodical walk shows his brooding vengeance. The art showcases Haunt’s brutal response when seeing the guards. This only calms down (and rightfully so) when Haunt finds the captured children. The door panels jump out due to fantastic lettering in this space. It ushers in the horrific close where all bets are off. Haunt’s ruthless in striking down the enemies (and zero issue with this). Once the fight ends, the closing pages ease into a nice spot to depart with a interesting full page image to think about.
FINAL GRADE: 8.7
It’s now or never for Haunt as time is running out on his rescue mission. Healy orchestrates an intense look at Haunt’s latest assignment. Gay and Ramos weave extreme action through the disturbing landscape at hand. Another action-packed trip with no apologies given for the vengeance served.
