Prince begins with Brand unleashing his anger towards Kushna’s lies. The dialogue is riddled with rage as he decided to take his talents to Heaven. Bobby’s optimism and loyalty is greeted with a brush-off as Brand catches the express lane to the pearly gates. It leads to an impulsive move with the young “sidekick” as they expand their mission.
Mr. M gets some needed page time as his character finally gets some development. The writing shows the evil being relishing in his work while cracking under pressure of perfection. The writing throws a nod into the Doom Patrol lore with where his dialogue leads. It offsets the quirky waiting of Brand while in Heaven. Readers watch as the awkwardness grows to a fever pitch. It leads him into a most peculiar finish with a combustible presence waiting in the wings.

Morazzo & O'Halloran keep a steady format for most of the book with the art. Using a nine grid set-up, pages lock in on the quicker reactions of Brand, Bobby and Mr. M. It exposes Brand growing frustrations while reeling from being lied to. Bobby’s gamble pays off while Mr. M terrifies in his smaller panels.
Readers watch as the vision of Heaven is vastly different than one would think. The unusual practices leave Brand puzzled as he begins a long wait. Brand’s interactions cause some waves before being upstaged by Bobby. Seeing who he bumps into throws a big curve into plans. This filters down to a shocking close. The full shot shows a new place and shake-up, while the last full page welcomes in a new player into the game of life and death. Pages maximize the key players without any issues.
FINAL GRADE: 8.6
Brand’s trip to Heaven is anything but divine as more problems arise. Prince adds in more out of place humor into events with the writing. Morazzo & O'Halloran keep steady with the presentation of art. Fearless in its’ delivery with a style all its’ own,
