Let’s take a deeper dive into the initial chapter.

The dialogue is hilarious as he breaks it down in his own style. Superguy’s status with Robotguy remains as complicated as ever. This rolls over into a true crisis at hand. Knowing the stakes, Superguy sends his trusty sidekick to deal with this. It is at this stage, the temp in the room is about to change.

Readers watch this serves as a springboard to launch the true hero into their destiny. The writing shows how a switch is flipped into stealing back the spotlight owed, Superguy’s brash reaction to events provides just enough conflict to move into the later acts. It is clearly evident Superguy wants his cake and to eat it too. Too bad someone isn’t willing to return back to normal. The action picks up as a mantle is fought over. Iannaccio stages this very well. Readers easily can pick a side during this brawl. Once the smoke clears, it leaves a few moments in question. The finish also gives readers a few key points to ponder for the next round. Very solid work.
