Pires lets McKenna take the lead for the initial part of the issue. This all comes after the fast introduction of the Grey Cube Corporation. Her paring with the Mutts is met with some trepidation. It also leads to some blunt dialogue as the bickering commences. One thing about this story is the fearlessness in going to extreme places when needed. McKenna’s knowledge proves vital while walking the mutts into an unknowing trap.
Readers worried about the wild action being toned down will be pleased to be wrong. A Goo Gang attack on a bar concert leads into some vicious acts. The writing stages events with a dramatic twist. Knowing the responsible party, McKenna’s talk with Mojo is both funny and insightful. There’s a certain flare to this book few can match. This assists in getting the book into its closing phase. A new character makes a loud impression as the Mutts find themselves in dire straits with no easy way out.

Gedeon and the team keep tensions high while the Mutts are on the attack. The internal squabble over McKenna adds some spark to the regrouping. Chromedome’s chat with the Grey Cube brass is as comical as it is vital to the story. The reactions here help transition events into the laid out trap.
Readers watch as the Mutts go raw first into action. A fantastic full page shot kicks off the jewelry heist stoppage. The scenes are brutal and have quickly become a trademark of this series. If that’s something, just wait for the wild concert throwdown. It ushers in a deeper plot swirling around the pages. This leads readers into a bleak resolution with a notable half panel. The ending pages welcome in a major player very loudly. A bold full image shows them at work and the mission doesn’t appear to be nice. It’s a solid continuation of events from where things were left last round.

Mutts, drama and violence, oh my! Pires continues the winning ways with a strong sophmore effort, Gedeon and the team unload on the action with wild visuals. This story is guaranteed to keep readers guessing, while getting lost in its’ excellence.
