STORY OVERVIEW:

After Noa saw Lena’s death she is the next to be marked by this curse. Because of everything going on Purple is sending Ivy and Noa to Paris early and pampering them. They both have an opportunity to walk in the biggest show of Paris Fashion Week. However, the relaxing trip is anything but for Noa as the crazy visions have begun. Ivy is trying to keep her eyes on her and make sure she is alright, but her star is rising and Paris was very good for her career. But as her career is flourishing, Noa’s life may be coming to an end in a disturbing fashion.

WRITING:

This penultimate issue of the series sheds more light on what is going on and sets up the final push for this series. Hannah Rose May delivers another eerie and suspense filled issue. The build to the eventual tragic ending of the issue follows the blueprint of the previous issues, well also revealing more of the story going into the finale. As Ivy appears to put more of what’s going on together, she finds herself still powerless to stop it. This makes you feel for her, well also builds up a fear for what may be coming her way next. The anticipation that May builds up in this issue is sure to pay off in the final issue. As a whole May has done a great job building this series up and this penultimate issue is no different.

ARTWORK:

The artwork crackles with energy, giving the story an added jolt. Miriana Puglia captures the book’s look and atmosphere with bold backgrounds and expressive character work that make the world feel both vivid and unsettling. When the horror arrives, it lands hard through gruesome, memorable imagery. Dearbhla Kelly strengthens each page with sharp, intentional colors that make the visuals pop and guide the eye. Together, they create an intense, stylish look that fits the franchise perfectly.

Final Thoughts:

Smile: For the Camera #4 sets up for an exciting and suspense driven final issue. As the number of models has dwindled down due to the curse the anticipation for what will happen to our main heroine is at an all time high. This will surely make the wait for the final issue harder to wait for, as I for one want to know what the finish is ASAP.

FINAL GRADE: 9.2/10
