Watters moves Grayson’s attempt to clear his name into a few new directions with this issue. His discussion with his legal opposition falls on its’ weight. The press conference is a bit gruff as she calls out Nightwing to turn himself in. Readers watch as the effects of the witch’s case are starting to take its’ toll. This continues to move Grayson into dangerous territory with not just his body. The internal monologue indicates the wear the crash is having on his soul.
Once events get to the main plot, the mood shifts into desperation for answers. The writing shows Grayson’s desperate attempt to help with autopsies. It moves him to become careless in his work. Readers see a small break in his favor push him further into a spiral. One discovery sends him into an awkward closing segment. His confrontation leads to a more curious perspective into recent affairs. It leaves on a frozen note with an ethical question to ponder. An interesting take amongst the straight-forward drama.

Cowan presents the legal confrontation with much composed venom behind it. The prosecutor’s demeanor shows no apologies as she cusses while calling out Nightwing. Grayson’s reaction is stone faced as he soars in the skyline via half panel. A chilling two page spread exposes the waterfront’s discoveries. The art showcases the morbid discoveries right before Grayson goes to work. There’s a great attention to detail in these panels.
Readers watch as the discoveries from the autopsy start taking a toll on Grayson. The wear on his brow is on full display. This moves him into the unique closing sequence. A pair of 9 panel page confessions unlocks more secrets lurking in the city. It moves into a frantic chase to the closing pages. The panels spotlight the quickened pursuit. It leads into some intense perspectives as Grayson presses for more. The final page throws a curve into the mix. Grayson’s frustration is on full display as he tries cyphering out what just transpired.

Nightwing’s fall from grace continues to spiral as the Waterfront unveils new secrets of its’ own. Watters puts Grayson in an argument of ethics for this chapter. . Cowan and the art team craft the mounting struggles of searching for the witch’s hidden clues. A different look at the adventures of Dick Grayson for sure.
