*** POSSIBLE SPOILER WARNING ***
writing:
Wilson shows the downward spiral take its’ toll on Isley in dramatic fashion. Recapping the flashback political shunning of Quinn, the writing shows Isley’s regrets start seeping in. Now in the present, it is very clear how heavy the crown truly was. Isolated and alone, Isley’s yearning for Quinn proves detrimental as someone is looking to take her out.
Readers watch as her encounter leads into more problems than expected. It shows her fragile walls starting to come down around her. Being left powerless, it adds more doubt of survival. The writing throws in an unlikely savior to assist. Their conversation gives a true warning that is yet again ignored. This moves events to the closing stages. Isley’s discovery of self is halted fast by another major threat which comes at her with vicious intentions. It helps walk readers right into the main “Bad Seeds” finale with all the cards on the table. A fitting piece to the much larger puzzle.

art and Lettering:
Lins & Prianto lick in on the emotional toll the Mayorial office had on Isley. It is a real reflection of the weight that comes with that power. Once images come to present day, a half panel shows how easily Isley is duped to seeing Harley in the streets. This leads to a half panel reveal of a great er problem to deal with.
The back and forth action gets rolling with The Parliament in full swing. Ivy’s savior comes in via full page and ready to throw hands. It’s a much needed injection to this mix. Readers watch as Ivy runs through a variety of expressions while dealing with power issues. Once the fight is resolved, the conversation is more grounded till Ivy concedes what she needs to do. This launches events into the volatile showdown with her main political nemesis. Panels reflect the lethal tactic in hand. This becomes upended by anothe rmajor act. The final full shot speaks volumes as events close up.
FINAL GRADE: 8.4
Isley’s last stand is a valiant effort in design with more enemies circling around her. Wilson dives into the heavy weight carried by her actions. Lins & Prianto balance out the drama with solid action points. A solid lead-in for the major Bat event finale.
