MacKay shows the deceptive ways of Spector’s actions early in the chapter. The conversation with Fairchild is shaky at best. Both seem to be over-confident in their actions. The back and forth of their talk only fuels more anger towards the House’s actions. Readers watch as some key flashbacks are squeezed in-between to show the long game Spector and Clea were playing. It results in a turning point for where the fight needs to go now.
Emotions run quite a range as Spector’s plans work to a certain degree. This leads into some long awaited reunions and much needed talks. His conversations about his actions remains a hot button amongst all parties. Once cooler heads start prevailing, it allows for a new gameplan to be formed. The writing does a fast turn-around to get this staged. What it results in is a last page that will have fans chomping at the bit for how the next round fares. A very steady script in dealing with betrayal and triumph.

Pramanik & Rosenberg continue to push the boundaries with some of the best visuals in comics. The bold full page of Fairchild watching his handiwork sets a high bar into the terror he’s created. This transitions into a unique view of panels with the full page format. It never ceases to amaze with the presentation on the smaller panels. Once moving through the house, the looks continue to astound as Spector sifts through his current situation.
Readers watch as the turning moment unlocks two amazing full pages to push the story into a welcomed landing spot. The close-ups of Spector and others connects well with the audience. A strong half page panel brings forth some much need conversation of trust. This escalates higher as Spector begins unwrapping his next moves. It continues to amp up on the tension until the closing act. Once here, the art drops a series of gorgeous full page images preparing for the exclamation point drop on the closing page! Seriously one of the best art performances in comics each time out.

Marc Spector’s attempts to stop the Mansion Ravenous leads into more chaos and thrills with this latest chapter. MacKay addresses the levels Spector will go with a strong script. Pramanik & Rosenberg continue to impress and inspire with magnificent art on each page. Flawless art and sensational storytelling makes Spector’s adventures a must-read experience.
