Pires weaves through many turns while advancing Henry forward in this chapter. Edge’s master scheme seems to be coming to fruition. Even with the knowledge his brother is still alive, the writing shows him unfazed. This gives way to Henry’s group confronting the Ronin in question. The tense presence gives way to fast-paced action. Readers watch as it spirals back into Edge’s master attack. The result is a bold statement pushing towards a deadly end. Once the issue gets to close, Pires throws another unknown in the playing field . It is guaranteed to have some excitement built going into the next round.
The Fantasy Universe gets some expansion pieces in this issue as well. Readers catch a lead-in to Fireborn. It’s a solid companion piece to escort the audience into the new chapter. Timmy Heague and Eamon Winkle cast a spotlight onto Bombshell in an absolutely wild chapter. Anytime you can kill Nazi Dinosaurs in a book, you know you have a winning tale.

Casalanguida opens with a dark prediction of Edge’s visions come to life. Readers watch as he walks through each planned move with deadly results. It builds his tyranny to a new level. The same can be said for Henry’s latest conflict. Even with some help, The Cyber-Ronin is making sure its’ not an easy day at the office. Panels are exploding with high-level action. It serves as great breakpoints between Edge’s timed attacks.
Readers watch as a two page spread highlights four attacks at once. It’s a great presentation into the violence unfolding. The art locks in on the painful repercussions dealt. In-between the drama, the lead-in for Firelord throws a few different looks into the mix for nice transitions. The same can be said for Winkle’s time on Bombshell. Panels bring out the insane world readers are brought into for this saga, While brief, it makes an impact. The main story hones in on building up for the final confrontation of this issue. A full page visual welcomes in another contestant into Henry’s game of FAFO. Great job all around.

Edge’s strategic attacks hit for a very problematic challenge for Henry in this thrilling chapter. Pires doesn’t hesitate to take readers into deep water with an excellent script. Casalanguida & the art team deliver on heavyweight action. Factor in the strong companion tales and this book doesn’t miss.
