STORY OVERVIEW:

Harley is back in the afterlife where the Devil and God are arguing with who will get stuck with her. They are both impressed that she can remember the last time she was in front of them. They decide to send her back as neither wants her. This is when we find out she is in a coma and surrounded by her friends. As she comes out of it, she discovers that Elvira has become a real friend of hers and is throwing one hell of a Halloween bash in her honor. However, there are some characters that still want their revenge on this new dynamic duo.

WRITING:

The series finale followed in the footsteps of the rest of the series and delivers a lot of fun. Amanda Conner & Jimmy Palmiotti keep the fun going and finish on a very fun note. This issue does play out as a button-up issue as all the different stories get resolved in one way or another. Some of the conclusions felt a little less than others, but at least we got closure across the board. This final issue felt a little rushed and maybe a little to jam packed. However, it still was a lot of fun and definitely brought the humor we’ve become accustomed to in this series.

ARTWORK:

The artwork featured in this issue stands out, bringing the characters and their settings to life with striking visuals. The artists successfully capture the essence of a crossover event, carefully maintaining each character’s individual personality and iconic look. Detailed, imaginative backgrounds draw readers deeper into the story. Energetic, warm colors further enhance the comic’s appeal. Collectively, these artistic elements create an engaging atmosphere that heightens both the humor and the action throughout the issue.

Final Thoughts:

Harley Quinn x Elvira #6 is a fun finish to an extremely fun and humorous series. The adult humor and jokes never missed in the entire series. Coupled with some insanely fun artwork that matched the vibes of the story perfectly, and you have an insanely entertaining series on your hands. The final issue wasn’t as strong as some of the other issues in the series, but it was still fun and good. This was one of the most entertaining series of the year so far, and if you weren’t already reading it, make sure to keep your eyes out for the Trade when it hits the shops.
