As Kyle Rayner attempts to get back in the L.A. swing of things, trouble is coming in thick like a combo meal. Fast food mascots have declared war & taken the fight to the streets! They are definitely not willing to play nice!
Making matters worse is Major Force is now under the JLU Amnesty program. Having a villain as psychotic as Force running wild is only adding more calories to an unhealthy diet of heroics!

Let’s get weird one more time! Adams pens a wild and absurd tale that distracts Rayner long enough to brace for Major Force. Seeing Rayner and Odyssey deal with the mascot mayhem is pure fun. It also leads into a discover fitting of a Green Lantern story. There’s plenty of solid banter between the outsiders as they watch the mascots go at it. It’s only when a hand is tipped that a major break occurs to shake things up.
The result pushes more comical moments to spiral out in the open. Readers never lose the fun aspect of the dangers occurring. This gets resolved on a more steady point before the seriousness of the encounter jumps in. The dialogue between Major Force and Rayner is fueled by past emotions & rightfully so. It explodes at a proper time to let loose on the building tension. Adams steers this into safe waters as Rayner gives a powerful speech to close events off with before leaving the final page to raise some questions onto what’s next.

The art lets loose on the wild set-up of the Mascot mayhem. A solid full page image shows all Hell breaking loose. Panels fly fast as the mascots go for broke. Rayner’s expressions vary watching this all unfold. It leads him into a near half panel to pause the action. Once cooler heads start talking, Odyssey takes action. What seems ill-timed is anything but. A shocking full page reveal tips off more dangers as the root of the fight is now exposed.
Readers watch as the move causes a terrifying reaction. The full shot twists events into an unalive moment. It plays into the wild overall theme of this brawl. Panels take some risks to deliver something more concrete as the fight gets thwarted. Everything changes when Major Force arrives for clean-up. Panels fill with rage as Force’s poking causes a volatile point. This commences with a bold full age image. As this ight gets going, Rayner takes no chances. He plays his ace tactic to precision. It concludes all events with a major statement behind it. The ending steers into a questionable epilogue with more issues on the horizon. A more stabile landing than expected.
FINAL GRADE: 8.4
The Fast Food life has caught up with Kyle Rayner at a most inopportune time. Adams nails the laughs while staging the more serious points. The art teams leave nothign to chance with the action. This is a story that can only be told in the pages of Green Lantern.
