Thompson gets right down to business with Diana’s latest challenge. The opening pages tease some smoke and mirrors with Zeus’ arrival. Tension run high as Diana is ready to fight. Readers watch as she advances her attack with much ferocity. It leads to a new revelation onto who’s approaching her city with mixed results.
Adding Phobos and Deimos into play offers a few new looks. The action picks up as Diana is ready to fight. Readers get some flashback sequences to construct a broader picture of the current fight. Pages mirror more illusions to what is truly happening. At points, it hits while others, it varies of impact. This moves events into a much stronger close where the final moments establish a true terror awaiting. A solid set-up chapter with much more fight left in its’ journey.

Sherman and Bellaire continue their winning ways as Diana looks for answers. The full page shot of Diana overlooking the city sets the tone early. It moves to a phenomenal two page spread of action. Another amazing full page walks off Diana into the next round. This pushes events into the main confrontation of the issue. Seeing the twins of Zeus waiting for a fight kickstarts a greater ordeal with another major two page spread.
Readers watch a strong multi-image ushers in a deeper connection between the combatants. It may sound like a broken record at this stage, but Sherman and Bellaire make this sequence feel epic with the amount of two page spreads involved. Once finished, it brings forth a personal blow to transition stages into a defensive play. Diana’s reunion with Steve Trevor is cutting as she goes to great lengths to fight back. It holds nothing to where the twins go. The final full page delivers an exclamation point before bowing out for the next round. Another visual treat with this chapter.
FINAL GRADE: 9.3
Trouble reigns down from the heavens as Diana prepares for what’s next. Thompson delivers a fair balance of drama with the action. Sherman and Bellaire elevate the stakes on each page. This series continues to live up to its’ top tier billing!
