STORY OVERVIEW:

Jacen is being kept in isolation at the secret G-Force detention center for observation until they can figure out how to control the spirit of Godzilla inside of him. Dr. Chiba and Commander Riviera are summoned to meet with Major General Onishi about the situation. He warns them if they can not utilize Jacen and his powers and get along with each other, he will be stepping in. During the meeting there is a Kaiju attack involving numerous Kaiju which pushes the G-Force to its limits. This may force them to bring Jacen back to the field early. Meanwhile, we discover that the young girl May might be a little more evil than we thought.

WRITING:

This issue builds on what the last issue set up for where this arc is going. Tim Seeley adds some more layers to the possession of Jacen by the energy of Godzilla. The symbiotic relationship between the two starts to take a little more shape. The addition of Major General Onishi brings some extra drama to the story and could lead to some interesting developments. But the biggest development in this issue is the new things we find out about May. The way Seeley takes what appears to be an innocent and misunderstood little girl and shows how she wants to be Queen of the Monsters sets up some interesting avenues for this story to go.

ARTWORK:

The artwork featured in this issue is of high quality and effectively immerses the reader in its world. Hendry Prasetya demonstrates notable proficiency with his artwork, particularly evident in his depiction of the “ghost” Godzilla. This striking visual highlights Prasetya’s expertise as an artist.

Additionally, the innovative Godzilla design benefits from exemplary coloring. Francesco Segala displays considerable skill not only in this specific piece but throughout the issue with their thoughtful color choices. The vibrant palette lends a clean and futuristic aesthetic to the publication, further enhancing and complementing the artwork.
