*** POSSIBLE SPOILER WARNING ***

Fleecs doesn’t delay in establishing the fear amongst the cats. Leland’s exit strikes up a sense of worry amongst the feline faction. Their banter covers much ground as all have a different way of taking Leland’s removal. Once Willow speaks, the move changes. There is a larger sense of the unknown as word of testing spreads.

Readers watch as Willow’s description comes into the forefront. The writing structures the monologue to pair with Leland’s testing. It is very direct onto what the humans are doing. After completion, the story takes a much more heartbreaking turn. Readers watch as Lord’s reaction is justified as one character is changed forever. This leads to a more steady finish with a sense of uncertainty growing with each panel.

As for the Stray dogs bonus, it serves as a great counterpart to the main story. Sophie’s short term memory causes a bit of panic amongst the other dogs. It gets sidetracked as Ghost attempts to rescue Moosh. The writing gives a fun perspective from the dogs as they try cyphering these actions. From here, the mood changes fast as a certain human walks in the room. Readers watch as buried memories resurface as the past can’t be denied. It leads into a strong finish and powerful closing page.

MORE FROM TONY FLEECS!

Forstner and the team open with Leland’s removal. The fear in his eyes connects with readers on the shocking truths. A strong two page spread locks on the overall reactions unfolding. The human testing portion comes off with a gritty feel. Readers watch the lengths humans are going to test. This moves events to a terrifying reality. Elsie’s look of fear can’t be ignored as a tragedy has occurred. The final panel leaves a chilling impression as reality is sinking in.

The Stray Dogs portion is much in the same vein. Sophie’s eyes tell a story all their own. It serves as a solid set-up for Ghost’s rescue of Moosh. Readers watch as the room fills with curiosity as the cat/dog dynamic is challenged. Once the memories of the man walking around come back, the panels start reflecting a chilling reality. This is drilled home with the final page. A full page shot leaves a stunning omission as dark times lie ahead.

FINAL GRADE: 9

Elsie and the crew uncover a devastating reality as more secrets come to light. Fleecs delivers on huge emotional hits with both stories running side-by-side. Forstner and the team unveil the true fear building inside the facility. Feral continues to be a one-of-a-kind experience!
