STORY OVERVIEW:

The Priests are down to their last resort and the fate of the Island and possibly the world rest on their shoulders. As all hope seems to be lost and they are overrun, Father Pyre resorts to a shotgun to solve the issue. Even though murder is a sin, Pyre frames it as mercy and a necessary evil. Slowly the other Priests fall into line and realize that drastic times call for drastic measures. However, the demons aren’t down and out yet, and the ringleader has no plans of being defeated. Will God intervene and help out the Priests or will evil rule the day?

WRITING:

This final issue puts an exclamation point on this series and finishes strongly. Jordan Thomas makes sure to cross the T’s and dot the I’s in this final issue. The action and suspense are at an all-time high, well the drama brings the heat. Thomas blurs the lines between right and wrong and makes the reader question wither the ends justify the means. This sets the story up for a climatic finish that leaves the reader on the edge of their seat. Lastly, Thomas ends the issue with a tease of a possible continuation with a sequel series. It’s safe to say that this series stuck the landing on the finale.

ARTWORK:

The artwork in this book uses a simple yet effective style to convey the story's mood. Chris Matthews crafts a horror setting that's both gory and playful, using clean design and thoughtful color to soften violent scenes. This approach reduces shock and highlights the story’s whimsical side. While the style may not appeal to everyone, its unique take on horror makes it memorable. Readers who enjoy lively and visually striking art will likely appreciate this book.
