*** POSSIBLE SPOILER WARNING ***
LaValle closes out events with a very straight-forward finale. T’Challa’s search to stop B’Wete’s tech leads him into another wild hybrid showdown. This time, he’s face to face with versions of The X-Men. While this is transpiring, Shuri and Femi confront the other “T’Challa”. Their dialogue is short but tips off enough of what is happening here. Readers watch as this conflict comes to a swift end via outside help. One door is shut while the other one stays propped open.
The writing shows the true T’Challa engaged in a battle with the X-Doppelgangers. It is a solid match-up which provides a great dose of action. There’s also a reunion long overdue that sets forth a new chapter. The dialogue cements T’Challa’s legacy as a leader. Femi’s words hit the direct bullseye when said. The fallout results in another stat quo change. This leaves readers with a few questions but more to be excited about pending where this ultimately leads.

Fans will be curious how this new element factors into upcoming events. The art team leaves one last parting goodbye via full page to end things now, but not forever. Overall, very solid work on each page.
