*** POSSIBLE SPOILER WARNING ***

Pichetshote spares no expense in taking this story into full horror territory. The opening sequence with Lance and Grundy is chilling in presentation. Her inner monologue sells the frantic pace as she fights to survive. Once a resolution takes place, Lance stumbles into more terror at every turn. Readers see what Hammond has been doing behind the scenes. It leads to much uneasiness as he tortures a new Absolute entry. This leaves a horrific result to ponder as events shift back to Lance.

Her attempts to take out Hammond prove more complicated than expected. The writing unlocks more secrets as Hammond ducks and weaves lies into truth. A solid flashback sequence teases more of Oliver’s fractured past. Seeing what the difference of wealth can cause puts a dark cloud on the hero’s noble deeds. Once events jump back to present, the story revs into high gear. Green Arrow’s injection is timed perfectly as the conflict spins more out of control. It’s assisted by Lance’s worrisome inner dialogue. The words prove to be a distraction to a terror forthcoming. It pushes the final page into dark territory with a shocking event to close with. Another impressive chapter.
