WitchBlade finds herself trying to stop Aphrodite IX, who's reverted to her original programming. Hijinks are ensuing as the battle continues. She may not be able to save what's become a good friend of hers.
What did we think?
Well guys, this Witchblade reboot, reimagining, whatever you want to call it, Has been one of my favorite comics since it launched at this point. Hard to believe it’s been almost two years now.
The art in this is absolutely fantastic. When you're trying to fill the shoes of legendary creators. From the original Witchblade run,You have a lot to live up to.
At no point has this ever been a thing where like “Man, I wish someone else was drawing this.” The art by Giuseppe Caffaro has been absolutely fantastic on this.
It's just action jumping off the page with kinetic energy. It is awesome, awesome stuff. The story by Marguerite Bennett has been absolutely fantastic as well.
So obviously if you read Witch Blade back in the day.
There's going to be little Nuances and things. You're like, “I remember that. Oh, that's cool. I want to see how that gets spun in a different way.” If you haven't. You're not missing anything.

You can jump right into this new Witchblade and just enjoy it as it is. Even if you didn't read issues 1 through 23,
You can pick this one up and just get right on board with what's going on. No problem.
This is something you always want to see in a comic.
I am loving this book. It's one of my favorite comics of the year so far. Just great stuff. And it's like a renaissance of some of these characters and books from back in the day.
Whether it's Witchblade in the Darkness from Top Cow. We're seeing Youngblood from Image with Rob Liefeld killing it on that. These are just great books that bring back what we are missing in some comics nowadays which is just awesome characters.
FINAL GRADE: 9
This series is all awesome stories and art just blowing your face off. It’s a non-stop ride you don’t want to leave! I really think You should check it out if you are reading it currently. I love this book!
