STORY OVERVIEW:

Premiere Zalilak of Zertonia has declared Zerta as a betrayer of their people. But before we can get any other decree Proximus busts in and battles him for his betrayal of Zerta. As the two fight each other the trade back and forth who has the upper hand. Just when it looks like Proximus would be the victor, Zertonia is attacked by a massive ship. Meanwhile, on Agorria Darak is bonding with his Handroid and preparing to take flight and police space. However, when he and his team encounter the massive ship, everything changes.

WRITING:

The Quintesson War kicksoff, while the galaxy is in turmoil. Robert Kirkman does an excellent job setting up for what’s to come. The battle on Zertonia is exciting and is a perfect way to show the threat posed by the massive ship. The threat is so real that even 2 enemies have to join together to flee. The interaction between the Handroid and Darak is pretty wholesome and shows the character of Darak. On the downside, the story bogs down a bit in the middle. But, due to the hot open, and cliffhanger ending, this issue still hits the spot.

ARTWORK:

The art in this issue is great and truly brings these alien worlds to life. Andrei Bressan delivers an outstanding performance, making every planet stand out with its own distinct identity. His attention to character designs and the detailed backgrounds emphasizes the individuality of each world, contributing to the immersive experience of the story. Additionally, the vibrant colors provided by Patricio Delpeche enhance the visuals, making the artwork pop and perfectly complementing the unique atmosphere of each setting.
