The Story
Following the events of Ultimate Incursion which concluded in October 2025, in which we saw Miles Morales travel to the new Ultimate universe, we saw Miles return with the Origin Boxes. They were original created by The Maker to help his designs for that universe, but they were eventually taken an repurposed by Iron Lad & Doom and gave powers back to the heroes of that universe.
Overall this issue was a decent issue that built on the prior 3 issues and told a solid story that builds the intrigue with one of the individuals who’ve received powers, but amidst the backdrop of the Queen In Black & Armageddon stories this series is getting lost in the shuffle with it’s slow burn approach.
It’s a solid issue on it’s own that builds up nicely from prior issues, and it’s going to be interesting to see where it is going. Right now the stakes don’t exactly feel that high so there’s no sense of urgency. Whether that will change or not remains to be seen.
The Artwork
Stefano Casselli & David Curiel are in charge of the art for the issue and they do a really fantastic job with the art in the issue. There’s a lot going on in the issue and every panel feels very crisp and fresh. You can tell they put a lot of time and effort into each panel and it really comes across the pages.
Overall Grade: 7/10
A solid entry in the series that is good as a singular issue, but the series is getting lost with other major stories getting told right now at Marvel.
