Guggenheim doesn’t waste a second as he puts Jindari right into the thick of the fight. The opening pages show his restlessness in jumping into the mission at hand. A sense of caution takes hold as Jindari’s group moves forward. Once at this stage, events take a major turn. The writing exposes flaws in Jindari’s actions. This leads to a much needed confrontation. What results from here complicates matters even further than expected.
In dealing with his desire changing the stat quo, it is met with justifiable resistance. Guggenheim shows the frustration boiling over as Jindari puts his wants over the greater needs. It rolls into a shocking surprise fitting for the moment. There is never a wasted move as the emotions start taking hold. This moves events to a very intriguing finish. Guggenheim raps up certain events but the final page throws everything up in the air. It leaves many questions as the realm appears to be far from escaping readers’ thoughts.

Oezgen & Cabrera unveil the weight of Jindari’s actions in clear view. His expressions show the worry and uneasiness in what he’s about to do. This leads into a bold full image of the action commencing. The back-to-back spreads unloads on the vicious nature of war. Panels never hesitate on hitting the gas pedal. Pacing allows the more personal attacks to take the stage. This creates more tension as Jindari’s plans are exposed with consequences.
Readers watch as the intensity never leaves the pages. Seeing Jindari fight for his life spills into a brutal face-off. The result leaves little time for pause. It transitions swiftly into more of Jindari’s rash choices. A sequence involving a soldier removing their helmet transfers to an extremely personal moment. It serves as a strong pivoting point to head into the close. Once here, the art ramps up the tension after a detailed epilogue. The panels fill with thought provoking intrigue as to what has transpired. Always leave the audience wanting more….
