Bueno and Bellaire keep the art smaller in scale to emphasize the huge power play commencing. Norah’s stern looks convey the desperation of times while facing off against Walter’s scheming. Their interactions never let go of this fact. The anger is well recognized as Norah tears into Walter with her bold ambition. Bellaire’s coloring locks in on this aspect and raises it higher as the panels progress. It leads to a sharp turn where the look takes a vastly different turn.
The panels involving Max and Norah carry a lighter feel while bearing the drama’s tense aura. Norah’s gamble is given a strong two page spread which showcases her vision. This steers events back to a brooding point where Walter intervenes. Reactions vary as to comprehending the notion of change.
