The Eye Collector #2 (Image Comics)

Issue two of The Eye Collector is the kind of comic book that I really enjoy because it's not really just telling you a story.

The Eye Collector #2 by Jonathan Ball, G.M.B. Chomichuk & Lyndon Radchenka (Image Comics) is asking you to slow down and pay attention.

Let's talk about it.

*** POSSIBLE SPOILER WARNING ***

This issue is not really giving you any answers. It's almost starting a new arc within the second issue. That's kind of hard to believe. The themes that are happening within this issue andthis story is themes of children's nursery rhymes and old folklore and using them in a very unsettling way.

READ LAST ISSUE’S REVIEW!

I'm really loving everything about this because even though there's not a lot of dialogue and a lot of written things that are happening here, a lot has taken place within the art.

Chomichuk does an amazing job of giving us this trippy, almost staticky kind of art that's really just, kind of unsettling, but it's really awesome to dig in deeper within this story.‍ ‍

FINAL GRADE: 8.5

I'm really loving this. And I'm saying if you folks are not reading the Eye Collector, give it a chance, but take your time and understand what's going on.
