After the abrupt cancellation of his 1988 series, the final chapters are being releases. Fans have seen Swamp Thing travel through historic times arriving at the beginning of time. Once there, a difficult choice has to be made. All life may not be ready for the consequences.

Since 1988, fans have been waiting to see how the legendary run would properly end. After its’ triumphant return in April of 2026, The defender of the Green continues its’ time-traveling escapades.

Back in 1988, Swamp Thing was in the midst of a two-year run written by by Rick Veitch. Heading into issue #88, the story was dealing with controversial topics for that time period. It was cancelled last minute and the issues were thought to be lost forever. This was so much of a story that it was covered by mainstream media!
