*** POSSIBLE SPOILER WARNING ***
Tynion dives back into the emotionally charged relationships Erica has with heartbreaking accuracy. Bringing Bex back into the equation provides a solid counter to Erica’s broken path. Their reunion is impactful on many fronts. Reviving old memories leaves readers sensing the changes in both. It is complimented by a discussion between the Old Dragon and Erica. The conversation is tough while forcing Erica to realize a destiny she doesn’t want.

The talk never lets up on the deep wounds its’ reopening. This becomes more clear when Big Gary is referenced. Bex also breaks the news of the new Dragon with shock and awe to Erica. It causes a loud reaction knowing who is in charge. The news pushes events into a somber close. Erica’s guilt takes over to force a more difficult choice.
